Here we have a rare and original 1931 Pelikan Toledo fountain pen that started Pelikan’s legendary piston-filling system. Released during a transformative era for fountain pen innovation, the T111 features a smooth black hard rubber body and a pioneering transparent ink window—an engineering marvel at the time. Its early Pelikan branding and minimalist styling reflect the refined Bauhaus influence of pre-war Germany.The process of making the binde:( Sleeve) the motifs of the body were carved into a relief by using a corrosive method, deep parts were then burnished, distinguished motifs were gold-plated and parts of the line drawings were then re-engraved by hand.
The pen is fitted with a 14k gold fine nib and is in overall excellent condition, It has been serviced including a fresh cork seal and presented in its original box which does show its age.
