Here we have a rare1930s French Waterman hard rubber with sterling silver overlay lever fill fountain pen, fitted with a fine flexible nib, it measures 13 cm in length with the cap, shorter than the Waterman 452, however a larger diameter in line with the larger No 4 nib.

The pen is in excellent condition and with a new ink sac.

In the 1920s and 1930s, the Waterman Pen Company, an American manufacturer of fountain pens, had a significant presence and influence in France. Waterman was founded by Lewis Edson Waterman in the United States in the late 19th century, and it became well-known for its high-quality fountain pens.

Waterman pens were quite popular in France, and the company established a subsidiary known as “Waterman-France” to oversee its operations in the country
